Zitat:Ah, I love the smell of napalm in the morning and bombs going off so that means only one thing”¦ the FREAKSHOW is coming. The explosive new super group consisting of MISS CRAZY”™s Markus Allen Christopher, QUIET RIOT”™s Frankie Banali, CINDERELLA”™s Jeff LaBar and THE FIRM”™s Tony Franklin will shock the system by releasing their debut disc shortly and make a positive impact to the music scene worldwide.
I”™m not going to sit here and say that every track I heard kicks ass, but for sure a major part of the disc smokes! I”™m not sure but I think Christopher should be called “the chameleon” because his vocals change from song to song. “Welcome To The Freakshow” starts off the disc and it flashes to a later day LED ZEPPPELIN sound with Christopher”™s vocals, heavy down-tuning and thundering bass lines by Franklin making you take notice immediately and with the hook up of Banali smashing the kit, it makes this a great opening track. The next song “Everyone” blows me away with the hardcore MISS CRAZY style yet the key element is FREAKSHOW”™s phenomenal harmonies. This is the stuff music fans have been waiting for””its ARENA rock coming home!
Can you say “Kashmir”? Well check the riffs on “It”™s Really Over”. You know bassists really don”™t get a lot of credit unless you have an 8 inch tongue but I”™ll tell you Franklin”™s bass is so noticeable and amazing he shines throughout the disc. and LaBar is unbelievable on guitar.
“Burning Me” pushes the throttle, a fast song with LaBar and Christopher trading leads. And “Four Leaf Clover” is another fast song that has elements of CHEAP TRICK with great harmonies. The musicianship in FREAKSHOW is stunning and it should be with the tenure of the members.
“Looking Back At Me” is another hit maker with ZEPPELIN style vocals at certain points and LaBar flies on this one as I loved the guitar chords and Christopher brings great swagger on vocals.
Ah, my favorite track, “Mindgame”; this is the one that will bring FREAKSHOW popularity. JUST A KILLER TUNE! Markus you did it bro! Rumors have it that the FREAKSHOW might be hitting some festivals like (cough) ROCKLAHOMA maybe, and if it does come to light these fuckers better do this song. I can”™t say enough about the track. I would buy the CD just for this one track but if they”™re going to throw the rest in that”™s cool.
Frankie man you never sounded better, if fans really pay attention listen to “Mistreat Me” Banali and LaBar go off, and I mean GO OFF, on this one.
FREAKSHOW add some dimension with an acoustic track in “Mistaken”. It”™s a nice little change from all the pummeling tunes. Well we come to the end and with that said and with the musicians on this debut CD you would expect a gem and you get a gem. So beware, the FREAKSHOW is coming!!!

Hab mir das Album heute direkt bei der Band bestellt, dat Dingen rockt
Zitat:Do yourself a favor and go grab this disc. Of the 10 songs, I guarantee you will find 4 or 5 irresistibly catchy.... evident when you find yourself whistling the chorus to "Love and Gone" or air-guitaring the background riff from "Hard Life".
My faves include the following:
* "Dirty Little Secret"- If I were a band manager or producer, this would be my pick to introduce AV to the masses via terrestrial radio. It's hooky and catchy and "safe". I'll explain: It rocks hard enough to gain the respect of hard rock radio and fans, yet it won't scare away any parents that may be screening what their pre-teens are downloading from iTunes.
* "Love and Gone"- Of all the songs on this disc, this tune has the most commercial appeal. This would be my follow up single to "Dirty Little Secret", much like 'Sweet Child O'Mine" followed "Welcome to the Jungle" (yes, I just compared these guys to G'n R... go buy the CD and tell me I'm wrong). It counts as a ballad, but it grooves throughout, with Scozz's playful cowbell interludes, reminding you not to take it so damn seriously. As mentioned before, you'll find yourself either whistling or humming the chorus while standing in line at the bank or waiting on hold with AT&T customer service... guaranteed.
* "Hard Life"- Hard life's a bitch, indeed. This tune rocks all the way through, with a background guitar riff ribboning throughout the chorus... almost adding a second set of vocals that only guitar players can truly understand or appreciate. Nevertheless, your subconscious will pick up on it and you'll find yourself air-guitaring this riff randomly throughout the day. That riff takes this song to a "Whole... Nuvuh... Level" (MAD TV reference).
* "It's Not Me"- I consider this one of the hidden gems on the CD. At first the intro guitar work didn't grab me at all. I kinda felt like it was "OK guys, we need to fill this CD.. who's got a riff?" After several spins, though, I found myself silently apologizing to the band for having assumed such. It's actually a very well-built song with perfectly placed chord changes, background guitar riffs, and the trademark rock-n-roll "guy singing through a police megaphone" vocals sprinkled throughout. I will say this, however... Joe has taken the ubiquitous rock-song lyric "baby" to new heights. Listen to the end of the song and you'll know what I mean.
Overall: Good work, guys. You have yourself a very tight and polished first CD. The addition of Brett and Chris tweaked and refined your sound, evident in the songwriting and guitar riffing. You've come a long way from "White Trash Gutter Girl", although I kinda wish you'd re-write that one a but and play it live now and then. For anyone interested in getting something fresh to tumble around in your iPod, go grab 'Strip Rock Roll'. You'll like it.

I can only think of one word to describe The Last Vegas' latest album - perfection! That's right, as far as I'm concerned the band that won Motley Crue's 'Make Rock History' opening act competition has completely outshined the headliners with Whatever Gets You Off.
There are so many different sounds going on, especially in the vocals, that this CD almost comes across as a greatest hits of the hard rocking 80s. However these Chicago natives aren't just rehashing two decade old formulas, instead they wear their influences on their sleeves while making the entire mix sound current. Think Buckcherry with more energy (at least when compared to Black Butterfly) and deeper hair band roots.
Right from the get go The Last Vegas grab the listener's attention with the unrelenting title track. The venomous in-your-face rocker is probably the best song on the entire album, but far from the only killer track. "I'm Bad" follows suit with a Faster Pussycat meets Fastway styled vocals while "High Class Trash" increases the over-the-top quota by another notch. Then you have "Loose Lips", which reminded me of the Beautiful Creatures' "New Orleans" in feel, followed by the ballad Apologize, arguably the best song Tesla never wrote - but should have.
"Cherry Red", "Another Lover", "Dirty Things You Do" and "Love Me Bad" are also great hard rock songs. In fact I can't find a bad track on this entire album, as everything is played as if the group realizes this may be their only chance at success, so they hold nothing back. What resulted was a record that should appeal to new and old rock fans alike, and a record that should make these five guys household names.
Whatever Gets You Off is one of those CDs that demands to be played at high volumes. Sixx:A.M. members Nikki Sixx and DJ Ashba helped produce this gem, and I have to wonder if those seasoned veterans were jealous of what was being put to tape, because not even Motley Crue has shown this type of energy or song writing skill in ages. It may be early in the year, but The Last Vegas will no doubt appear of many people's 'best of' lists - and deservedly so. (Quelle: Sleazeroxx.com)

DAS GROSSE VERBRAUCHEN [the bastardized years].
diese (vorraussichtlich 4 CDs umfassende) disko soll unsere bisherige veröffent-

ebaypreise zahlen.
Das neue Album wird sowieso gekauft; die Box brauche ich weniger, nachdem ich die Platten alle besitze.
