Eine der besten italienischen Sleazerockbands die mir bis dato untergekommen ist!

Zitat:The folks at Street Symphonies Records, an independent Italian outfit, are on their way to becoming the 'the little label that could.' First, several months ago, they had the impressive debut of Johnny Burning, a well rounded and entertaining rock band in the sleaze/glam motif. Now, they introduce another homegrown talent in Killer Klown. Their debut release, Gain shows Killer Klown to a rowdier band who easily combines hard riffs, some sleaze (without the make up) and just enough modern nuances to create some boisterous and ballsy rock and roll. Somebody over at Street Symphonies Records has a good ear.
Killer Klown's Gain is marked by a degree of professionalism not commonly found in debut albums from unknown bands and similarly small labels. From the clean, crisp mix of the production to tight musicianship and song composition to excellent cover art and sleeve design, Gain is first class the whole way. Yeah, and the music is damn fine, too. The riffs roar and the rowdiness ensues on the fast paced rockers like 'Monster Idiot,' 'Tropical Disease,' and 'Too Bad.' Then there's a song like 'Big Town' that nears arena melodic hard rock with big guitars and a huge chorus. If you want something closer to melodic heavy metal look no further than 'Broken Silence.' Throughout I hear brief echoes of Axl and the long (and still) lost GnR especially through the vocals and guitar work on 'Broken Silence' and 'Joker.'
Killer Klown's debut Gain is a thick slice of solid and streetwise rock and roll thanks to rowdy riffs, bold vocals and ripping solos wrapped up in a tight and clear production. This band has the chops and swagger to determine their own destiny, which will probably be kicking ass and taking names. Good stuff! Highly recommended! 4,5 out of 5 (Review: dangerdog.com)
