The Ford Mustang is considered a pony car or muscle car when it comes to vehicle class. Options included an Econominder gauge package, affirming once again that the age of muscle was long gone. Positraction, front disc brakes, and power steering were options. With even more weight in front and no power steering (it wouldn't fit), 440 Darts were good for little but all-out straight-line attacks. Though capable and spirited in turbocharged GT form, the Probe was too just "foreign" to pass as a pony car -- an American invention, after all -- even if it was styled in Dearborn.
