Max. length of SVCD

I tried ripping the Candlemass DVD onto 1 SVCD. It is 1:16 long and the result left much to be desired. Should I go for two CDs or should I try to experience with the settings to see if a decent 1 CD rip is obtainable. What are your recommendations

I would prefer 2 SVCDs but try what you can do. Sometimes the Imagequality get's ugly but sometimes you just have to turn down the Soundquality...try it

hm, i managed to get the wasp dvd on 1 svcd with exactly the same playing length.
if there is a big lightshow, smoke etc you should definitly go for a 2-svcd

whats the aspect-ratio ?
with 4:3 almost impossible to get a decent rip, with 16:9 maybe...

yeh, AR is 4:3.

Btw, the quality of the DVD itself is rather poor with some flickering at the top and a narrow black bar on the right on some of the camera angles. I know it was shot 13 years ago, still quite dissapointing

Anyway, two CDs it is. First CD will be posted shortly.

I agree with Petski.
I definitly would go for 2 CDs for the sake of quality (both sound and picture)
