duke 3d win ports
- <a href='http://jonof.edgenetwork.org/buildport/duke3d/' target='_blank'>JonoF's Duke Nukem 3D port</a>
This is the home of my port of 3D Realms Entertainment's Duke Nukem 3D to Windows using my port of Ken Silverman's Build game engine. It is work in progress so that means it might crash and burn and be unstable.
Features of this port:
* Native Windows port using my Build engine port.
* OpenGL rendering support.
* True-colour textures support.
* MIDI playback and authentic sound mixing using ported Apogee Sound System code.
* Experimental UDP-based multiplayer.
The overriding aim of this port is to present Duke3D as closely as possible to the original game. Future work will go beyond this and add in new features which may invalidate this aim, but for now, authenticity is priority.

This application was designed to setup Duke Nukem 3D multiplayer games with ease. It allows players to connect to a host, then each will have the ability to play Duke Matches or Co-op play on the Duke Nukem Win32 ports by Rancidmeat and JonoF for multiplayer or single player games. The application has been designed to have the look and feel of Online Gaming Technologies Internet Commit application (IC), now will work with Windows XP!, please make sure that your Duke Nukem port is set up properly on your system. This application will not alter any Duke Nukem settings.
