The Few Against Many - Sot (2009), V

"Sot", the debut album from former SCAR SYMMETRY vocalist Christian Älvestam's THE FEW AGAINST MANY project (in which he plays rhythm guitar and sings), will be released on September 15 via Pulverised Records. The effort will be made available in a super jewel box format and limited digipack format edition. "Sot" will also receive an exclusive vinyl version edition release, also via Pulverised. It will be available in two different formats: gatefold sleeve with black vinyl and gatefold sleeve with picture-disc vinyl (both formats will be strictly limited to 250 copies each).

"Sot" ("Soot" in English) was recorded at Panic Room studios with producer Tomas "Plec" Johansson and features lyrical contributions from Mikael Stanne (DARK TRANQUILITY) and Jonas Renkse (KATATONIA, BLOODBATH). The cover artwork (see below) was created by acclaimed artist Dan Seagrave (MORBID ANGEL, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, SUFFOCATION).

Christian klingt etwas anders als bei SS und die Keyboards klingen auch gewöhnungsbedürftig.
Trotz Pulverised Records dürfte die Platte es bei mir schwierig haben.

Was ich ihnen zugute halten muss, das alle Texte - bis auf den letzten Song - komplett auf schwedisch sind.

Texte in Muttersprache geben bei mir einen kleinen Bonus. Unabhängig, ob ich sie verstehe oder nicht
