Reggae-Basslines, One-Drop-Beats oder Dub-Effekte sucht man vergeblich. Und obwohl ich Dub-Crossovers generell begrüße und glaube, dass in der Verbindung unterschiedlicher Stile viel musikalisches Potential steckt, so bin ich doch nach wie vor ein glühender Fan des Reggae-Beats und verstehe unter „Crossover“, dass zumindest ein Standbein im Reggae verbleiben sollte. Damit will ich die Musik der New Yorker Band keineswegs abqualifizieren. Das Dub Trio macht bestimmt keine schlechte Musik – es macht nur nicht meine Musik.
