Taking strong elements of Kansas, Styx, and early Rush, melding them together and slathering on a thick coat of metal, makes "Latitudes" an exciting listen. Kansas "Song for America" seems to be the launching pad for Perspectives third release. This Cincinnati, Ohio trio exhibits a high degree of virtuosic proficiency on the extended intricate instrumental passages, which also bear passing resemblance to Savatage and Dream Theater. The unit knows its way around a hook as well, via melodies that are freshly imaginative and performed with heartfelt conviction.

Vocals are very strong (good pitch and timbre, solid delivery) with an impressive use of harmony. Surprisingly, guitarist Rod Middleton and drummer Ben Burton assumed these duties when their lead vocalist departed before recording began.

This is symphonic progressive metal at its best with a perfect balance of drama and bombast. - Warren Barker

Sie sehen nach 70iger Jahre aus und sie klingen auch so. Die Schweden Dollhouse spielen lupenreinen angebluesten 70er Jahre Rock irgendwo in der Schnittmenge von Jimmi Hendrix, MC5, Led Zeppelin und The Who. 1998 gegruendet hat die Band seitdem schon einige Tontraeger sowohl auf CD als auch ,ganz retro-like, auf Vinyl herausbringen koennen. Im letzten Jahr erschien ihr zweites Studioalbum "Royal Rendez-vous". Sehr geiler Stoff den sich vor allem Freunde klassischer Rocktoene unbedingt mal anhoeren sollten!
